 "A Perspective On Raspberries" ( 8 x 8 oil on gessoboard)

My boys went to their grandparents' house for the day to help with yard work and they returned with two bowls full of these beauties. I had fun placing them so that the trees were in the background.

"Orange Slice with Plums" ( 8 x 20 inch oil on gessoboard)

Another still life that I set up on the table on my deck. I enjoy using the natural sunlight to light my still life subjects (when we have it up here in Washington) because it makes everything so vibrant.

"Romance" (6 x 6 oil on gessoboard)

I always have music on in my studio while I'm working.  I happened to be listening to Beethoven's "Romance in F Major" while I was painting this and so I titled it "Romance".  It's definitely fitting for the subject matter, I think.

"Shy Iced Tea" ( 10 x 10 inch oil on gessoboard)

I was outside doing yard work yesterday and this was my snack. It was so pretty that it had to pose for a photo before being eaten.

"Mirrored Clouds" (9 x 12 pastel on sanded paper)

This is a beautiful little lake near as spot dubbed "glass beach" in Port Townsend, WA.  This particular day was chilly and blustery, but is was worth the trek not only for the painting, but for all of the beach glass "loot" we found!  Your eyes are not deceiving you, by the way.  the clouds do have a very subtle pearlescent quality.

"Canyon on the Palouse" (12 x 24 in oil on canvas)

I instantly fell in love with the brights and darks of this canyon.  It also cried out to be painted larger.  I couldn't fit all of its energy into a smaller piece!
