"Stream in Springtime" (8 x 8 oil on gessoboard),

I loved every moment of painting this piece. Achieving the look of rocks under fast-moving water was a very enjoyable challenge.

Weird Little Guy (8 x 6 chalk pastel on sanded paper)

My youngest son has a love of cacti and has a small collection of them on his bedroom windowsill.  He was thrilled that I wanted to paint one of his "weird little guys".

Forest Stream (6 x 6 inch oil on gessoboard)

The Pacific Northwest has a way of covering everything in one shade of green or another.  Luckily, green is one of my favorite colors and I got to use so many shades in this little painting!  I couldn't quite get the brightest shade of green to photograph properly.  It is very vibrant in person.

Uh-oh (12x 9 in oil on gessoboard)

https://www.dailypaintworks.com/artists/beth-hunt-8517/artwork
My husband was mowing our lawn and the lawn mower ran out of gasoline....right before he could mow this beautiful dandelion down. I have a confession. If it were up to me, we wouldn't mow. I like meadows better than lawns!

Road to the Mountains (8 x 8 oil on gessobord)

I've never painted a mountain. I love hiking and I walk up a lot of them so that's a little strange. Ha, ha. I loved painting this one though, so maybe there will be more mountain paintings from me in the future.

Pre-guacamole (6 x 6 oil on gessoboard)

I was about to make the first bowl of guacamole for the season and when I cut into the avocado, it was so perfect that I just had to paint it!  My oldest son took one look at the finished painting and exclaimed, "Oh, mom!  The avocado looks so creamy!".  Yay!  That's what I was going for!

Orchard with Dandelions (6 x 6 in oil on gessoboard)

https://www.dailypaintworks.com/artists/beth-hunt-8517/artwork
It was mid-August and about 90 degrees when I took the photo that would become this painting. I was standing in the shade, watering the trees and admiring all of the dandelion fluffs glowing in the sun.

Summer Day at the Canyon (12 x 9 in oil on gessoboard)
This was my first ever view of the Grand Canyon!  I absolutely loved "carving" the layers of rock with my painting knife!

The sun makes one last attempt before the storm moves in.

Fiery Sunset (11 x 15 in chalk pastel on Pastelmat) - $195

The vivid colors and clouds in this sunset were so fun to capture with pastels.
In the Flow (8 x 8 oil on gessoboard) - $NFS

Nothing is more soothing than water running over stones.  Capturing that in this painting was a joy!

Country Car Wash (6 x 6 in oil on gessoboard) - $100
https://www.dailypaintworks.com/artists/beth-hunt-8517/artwork
While my husband and I were doing chores in the backyard, the lovely dappled sunlight and brightly lit bucket begged to be painted.  I grabbed my camera and snapped a quick photo between feeding the chickens and watering the plants.

Old Barn (11 x 15 in- chalk pastel on Pastelmat) - $195

I love old barns and they show up in my paintings often.  This one, with its blue-grey color, really caught my eye.
