I had a whole palette of colors mixed to do this same scene in the daytime, but then I had this idea and couldn't let it go.  I'm glad I changed my mind!

I usually take my own reference shots, but I saw this one on Morguefile and had to paint it.  I have been wanting to paint a lotus for a long time and this one was it!
