Wow!  It's been over a week since I've posted!  We had a wonderful 4th of July and also took a trip to see family in Ferndale, WA.  Our family loves to take walks so I had many opportunities to take reference photos.  These were growing in front of a beautiful little beach house.

It was mid-August and about 90 degrees when I took the photo that would become this painting. I was standing in the shade, watering the trees and admiring all of the dandelion fluffs glowing in the sun.
