I loved every moment of painting this piece. Achieving the look of rocks under fast-moving water was a very enjoyable challenge.

Forest Stream (6 x 6 inch oil on gessoboard)
The Pacific Northwest has a way of covering everything in one shade of green or another. Luckily, green is one of my favorite colors and I got to use so many shades in this little painting! I couldn't quite get the brightest shade of green to photograph properly. It is very vibrant in person.
